SERUM 2 BASS PRESETS
THE LOW END.
FEEL THE WEIGHT.
Pitching basses, rolling grooves and darker vibes inspired by what's working now, with enough old school DNA to keep them from sounding disposable
Leads, stabs and phrases shaped from modern Tech House, hip-hop and older records, then rebuilt into something new
SERUM 2 LEADS, ARPS & CHORDS
THE HOOK.
Built from references. Made to stand out.
BUILT IN SESSION. NOT IN A TEMPLATE.
SERUM 2 PADS, PLUCKS & FX
THE TENSION.
SET UP THE DROP.
Explore the textures around the groove: pads for space, plucks for detail, and FX for transitions. Hear what each one adds to the moment before the drop.
Kicks, hats, percussion and loops built around tighter eighth-note rhythms, harder swing and grooves that carry the track before anything else does
DRUM SAMPLES
THE GROOVE.
BUILT TO MOVE.
BASS & SYNTH SAMPLES
THE SPARK.
FOLLOW IT.
Drop a bass or synth loop into your session and try a direction. Build around it, chop it into something different, or use it to start a new phrase.
FOUNDER, SOUND DESIGNER
ZEN
A NOTE FROM ZEN
WHY I BUILT
VIII.
With every Deceiver, I try to look at where Tech House is moving, not simply where it has been. For VIII, I kept coming back to darker sounds, harder eighth-note grooves and ideas pulled from hip-hop, indie dance and sample-based production.
I rebuilt the low end, recorded hardware synths, turned those recordings into Serum 2 patches and pushed the loops until they had the grit and movement I wanted. Every sound was tested against real references and kept only if I would use it in a track.
“The next interesting Tech House record doesn’t have to come from only listening to Tech House.”
Start with whatever pulls you in. A bass, a hook, a strange texture. Take it apart, make it yours and show me where it goes.

QUESTIONS
GOOD QUESTIONS.
STRAIGHT ANSWERS.
Still stuck? Email support@evosounds.com.
WHAT VERSION OF SERUM DO I NEED?
+
Serum 2, and no other plugins. Every preset uses only Serum 2's built-in effects. The presets won't open in Serum 1, but if you own Serum 1, the upgrade is free: log into your account at xferrecords.com to get it.
WILL THIS WORK IN MY DAW?
+
Yes. The WAV samples and MIDI files work in any DAW, including Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Bitwig, Cubase, and Studio One, on both Mac and Windows.
WHAT'S INCLUDED?
+
170 Serum 2 presets, 850MB of WAV samples, and 85 MIDI files. It's a complete pack on its own, so you don't need earlier Deceiver volumes.
HOW DO I INSTALL THE PRESETS?
+
1. Find the file ending in .SerumPack in your download.
2. Open Serum 2 and go to Menu > Import Preset Pack.
3. Select the .SerumPack file and load it.
Your presets will appear under Menu > Factory > Packs > EvoSounds > Deceiver VIII. Samples and MIDI: drag them straight into your DAW.
Only see one file? That's the right one. The .SerumPack holds the whole bank. Missing wavetables? Import the .SerumPack rather than loading presets individually, and everything comes with it.
HOW DO I DOWNLOAD AFTER BUYING?
+
Your download link appears right after checkout and is also emailed to you. Can't find it? Check spam, then email support@evosounds.com with your order number.
CAN I USE THE SOUNDS IN MY OWN RELEASES?
+
Yes. Deceiver VIII is royalty-free for use in your music, including commercial releases. You can't resell or redistribute the sounds themselves, alone or in other sample packs or preset banks.
ARE THESE REALLY MADE BY A HUMAN?
+
Yes. Every preset was built by Zen from an empty init and tested inside a real track. No AI-generated sounds.
CAN I GET A REFUND?
+
Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase. Email support@evosounds.com with your order number.
HOW DOES THE FOUNDING PLACE WORK?
+
The first 20 buyers get a numbered place on this page under the artist name of their choice. After you buy, we'll email you to ask what name you'd like listed. Every buyer gets the full pack.
